Into the dreaming dark collects together 7 years of explorations back and forth across the thin bridge into the dreaming of place, ancient woods of Dartmoor, the ceremonial landscape of Avebury, the chalky woodlands around Brighton. It travels into the heart of the blues, where everyday life and excursions into the perilous realm criss cross like the stiches on the hem of a cloak.
The launch event will open up the book, with poems set to music by Lee Westwood, explorations of the dreaming of place, and bring to life some old fairy tales that lie at the place the human heart meets the dreaming dark.
“These poems contain a reverent silence … the silence of green glades, forest floor, ancestral doorways, earth and bone, the black heart. You can look up to the blue and gold sky or go down into the tunnels in the loam made by small creatures, follow the stone steps down into caves and lie by underground streams, crack open the seed and trace the skeletons of bodies and leaves” Luisa Orza, Storyteller
